Monzo Plus and Premium update 2023-24

  • Enable adding transactions from connected accounts to Shared Tabs (this should be straightforward now that the activities of connected accounts is shown in All activities)

  • Breakdown cover

  • Something similar to what * Revolut calls “Everyday insurance” would be nice (purchase protection, event ticket cancellation and refund protection)

  • Better interest rates, at the moment I keep my savings on Chip as they offer 4.84% AER

I get a different error. Exactly as I quoted in my reply

That’s strange, care to share a screenshot?

Could be many variables, I’m on iOS, on the new “new” Home Screen and also the test pilot version

I’m Android, so it will be different strings then :see_no_evil:

That’s answer that question then  hopefully though it’s a sign of times to come with custom categories on JA.

OMFG. I get the error, too, but I am hopeful… !

Perhaps this was hinting at JA custom categories :eyes:

I got the survey. One pretty funny question:

And one perhaps spurious but perhaps intriguing thing :eyes:

Giant hot coral metal card?

I get the same on Android too. Even if I cross my fingers and do a rain dance amongst new-born puppies.

But you know, one can hope :crossed_fingers:

I’m not one for cards, but if there was a metal hot coral card I’d certainly start using one again

It best be the right colour too. Nobody wants washed out salmon coloured cards like the ones currently!

Ah, Chase. It had some wild features and a very pretty app when I signed up, but it just didn’t work. Crashing, not updating, etc.

I guess I’ll NEVER see how it’s evolved as I closed my account after a couple of months so I’m barred from rejoining.

I’ll just have to stick with Monzo, Nationwide, Starling, Virgin Money, Revolut, TSB, Halifax and Barclays :pensive:.

Oh, and Santander.

I think that might be a bug, I just spotted I can also select categories for my cashback pot which makes zero sense and also results in the same error.

WIth cashback and discounts, my current PIA deal involved them paying ME £40 :joy:

For me, Chase is better than Starling. You can’t pay in cash or cheques or withdraw money from Post Offices. If that’s important for you, you’re better off with Starling.

In the text of the questionnaire they sent, as referenced. Probably spurious phrasing, but you never know perhaps it’s an idea they’re toying with.

I have 3 bank accounts Metrobank joint account is my main account plus Monzo which I have lots of saving pots and Starling which is fairly dormant.

Cash and cheques not important at all. Monzo I really like but not as my main bank account. I do like the look of chase so will give it a go.

As I read it, this thread is for Monzo Plus and Premium updates.

Nothing to do with comparisons to Chase or anyone else.
