Hey there,

Hope all is well?

Is there any update on the waiting list?

Is there estimate timeline when we can make an application for monzo for debit card/avail of other services that you offer.

Thanks a million.

Regards,

Conor

They say “coming months” according to Irish news outlets so could be as early as December I guess but it could also be January, February or March also before they start onboarding waitlist users.

@Cian is probably the best person to ask as the Monzo Ireland lead

I just called today because my queue position hasn’t moved at all and it’s a fairly small wait I have. The agent Chris was very helpful and said people are signing up so I’m not too sure if it’s a problem with mine and I’m stuck or if it is a problem in general. He said to move the queue you need to be referring but I explained I don’t have the options to do so in the app- it only shows the queue number. Has anyone moved up the queue from the number that was originally provided?

I’m literally the same situation as you David.

I have no options to refer I’ve been in the same line in the queue since Wednsday evening

Starting to lose hope here @con90 :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Come on @Cian- bump up @DavidGallagher and @con90 and get them some Christmas accounts!

Yes @Peter_G that’s the spirit. An account right before Christmas would be the bestest gift ever from @Cian and the team at Monzo! I also don’t understand the wait list, I’m at a very small number confirmed by the contact centre but I still haven’t got an invite. Is it a random selection? Mine hasn’t moved. My friend that i told to sign up too started at like 5k and has dropped 500 he said but I haven’t moved once. Seems odd

Have they started inviting anyone? Maybe you’re stuck at the top as they haven’t started / paused roll outs?

I’m not sure now but I spoke with Catelyn from monzo customer service today and she said invites are going out to people and to hang tight and I should get one. But seems very odd. Unless there inviting 10 at a time. I don’t see anyone mentioning they have a monzo Ireland account yet so I wonder are they inviting people to actually get an account

Loving the eagerness to get your Irish account, you will need to wait just a little bit longer…

We have opened accounts for a small number of initial customers. We’ll be expanding this in the new year so watch out for your invite then :eyes:.

But think how amazing a new year’s present it’ll be!

So will only the few Irish customers invited pre Christmas be considered invited by Monzo and be eligible for the €25 bonus or will people after also be eligible?

TIA

The €25 bonus is staying for the new year. TBC on exactly how long it will stay for, but certainly not going anywhere for now.

Do those excited for Monzo, already have Revolut?

Thanks for the clarification Daniel, Happy Christmas :christmas_tree:

@daniel this doesn’t really make sense now unless your care agent’s are wrong. I spoke with one named Catelyn and she said to keep an eye out on the invite because its ongoing and to also check the app because it will be processed there. I informed her that you said it wont be til the new year but she said its ongoing and could be before this? are agents not providing the correct info?

@Carlo1460 Revolut over here is boring and old. Monzo is new and shiny. At least I know I am happy to sign up and to be honest, I pay 8.99 for Revolut premium per month. From what I hear from friends in the UK I could easily pay Monzo 20 quid a month - they get salaries early etc on it.
