Hi! I’m not sure if Discourse (the software that powers this community site) supports Chrome notifications on Android the same way that it does on the desktop but on iOS, I use the official Discourse app to receive notifications. It looks like the same works for Android too.
I never got the option to turn on notifications like on desktop 
Just downloaded the discourse app. Perhaps I’m missing something but it just opens safari within the app to browse this forum.
For the most part, that’s all it does! That and handle push notifications from hosted Discourse sites (such as this one).
