Monzo and Ringo

Hi guys, I have tried to pay for parking using the RinGo app a number of times however ringo does not accept monzo as a payment card.

It is probably because they won’t accept prepaid cards. Does the app show anything?

Its the prepaid issue - just wanted to flag it for other users or see if monzo could convince them otherwise :grimacing:

I use my Mondo card daily on RingGo. Just checked how mine is set up and it’s down as a Mastercard Debit, not sure if you’ve been trying to add it as something different.

Maybe there is also some technical difference between the older Mondo batch of cards and the newer Monzo batch of cards? Either way, later this year when current accounts are released the new debit card will not have the problems associated with a prepay card

I have the original mondo card and set up as MasterCard debit. I get payment rejected every time. Very strange - it works literally everywhere else. I will delete the details from RingGo and start from fresh. Maybe corrupt data on the RingGo side.

I have the same card - original Mondo Beta, hopefully it works after starting fresh!

AFAIK it’s only the early Alpha cards that were set up differently to the current Beta cards.
