It’s the third card I got in less than a month and keep getting my details leaked

I contacted Monzo last week about a active card check and attempted payments made on my card which was not me. As a result, monzo canceled my card and sent me a new one, the exact same thing happened on the new card on the next day after activating it. I am now on the third card and it has just happened again. These card details are not anywhere, I do not have any subscriptions on this new card, as I have not updated them on this new card either. Please, can you advise on how to stop this, or set me a new account on monzo? And I have two factor login on everything, no other bank account, or login has been affected.

I just had a chat with someone, they blocked some of the vendors, but unfortunately, I am certain they are going to keep trying to make purchases. Most of them are active card check, which I know what it is. They do a check first, then quickly after try to make a purchase.

Every time I contacted Monzo you have not been helpful at all.
I know what an active card check is. but this keeps happening, and every time I ask if you can check if my account is linked to any other device, or if you can stop sending my new details pro previous vendors, you just send me an automated message and ends the conversation.

Firstly sorry to hear about the poor CS - I really wish Monzo could make that magic.

Secondly, are these the same vendors? It might be when a new card is issued, its automatically trying to update to the new card details - which would prompt an active card check. Read below how to disable that

We can now automatically update your card details with online shops (monzo.com)

You may wish to use a virtual card for anything online, as then at least you can delete the card if it does get leaked.

Sounds like Monzo are allowing the updater service to run over to the new card and the compromise was always from the oringal card. Blocking the merchant is not full proof either. The block can lapse after time. They should be canceling the card all together setting up a brand new facility.

Many different vendors.
And it happened again, it lasted three days. They tried to make a purchase on the previous card, it got declined, and an hour ago, on the new card, I just got a new active card check.
Forth card, apparently monzo can not do anything. I have got completely no idea where they are getting the updates from my card from, it is only my monzo account, all my other cards are normal.
I unable the automatic vendors marketing thing, but no success. I will probably have to cancel my account and switch to another bank. It’s a shame, since it’s been my main account for all the time I have lived in the UK.

That can’t be true. They should be able to block the merchant. At least other banks are able to do this.

I absolutely have no idea what can be happening, how every time I update my card, a couple of days later they have access to it.
Not a keylogger on my PC, and don’t think I have anything on my phone. I am not an expert, just got really frustrated. Thanks for the help, @JIMMWX

Just ask monzo to remove the continuous payment authority for said merchant.

Facing the same issue, I am constantly receiving Active Card Check from random businesses and I had to decline the payments sometimes. This is affecting my credit score.

No it’s not if it declines.

Just an update on mine, problem was fixed!
Finally someone managed to see what was happening.
I have a normal monzo account and a flex account. When all the active card check and payments were attempted, the app wouldn’t tell me in which card they had used.
Finally someone realised all these payments were made on my Flex account which I hadn’t asked for a new card, because it wouldn’t even give me the option on the app, so I kept supposing the problem was on my new card.
