Agreed, should have just left out the pointless cable too. I already have loads of lightning cables / plugs to use, and no USB C wall plugs or ports, so that cable is junk to me.

I’m excited to see how the MagSafe ecosystem shakes out.
Not getting anything right now, although I’ll be first in line for the MagSafe Duo they announced at the keynote.
Hopefully there will be some cool in-car accessories coming down the line. I can see a lot of potential there.

Battery life info in this review, first I’ve seen. Big relief for me as that was a potential worry, but it looks like it’ll comfortably last the day, which is all I want.
They’re making the argument that everyone has a charger, and hence they’re stopping waste. If they then move to magsafe only, they’re amplyifying the environmental impact by making all existing cables redundant.
On top of that, inductive charging is just massively efficient compared to a cable.
But they’ll save money this year and make money selling chargers going forward so it’s all good.

They will, because for reasons I’ve never understood and never will, people still buy Apple’s own chargers.

I love the Verge reviews, but any UK reviews where the phone is tested on UK 5G networks, which seem better and more reliable, and might not kill the battery?
Can’t wait to take some 30-second exposure night mode photos of my back garden - because that’s the wildest place my phone will be going for the near future.

Anyone planning on using Monzo Premium to insure their iPhone 12? Unsure weighing up the options, currently a Monzo plus subscriber, all the other perks for Premium don’t have much relevance for me and happy with Plus but phone insurance that covers loss.
I was tempted. Then I compared with Curve Metal and their offering was better. Although phone insurance is capped at £800…

Yeah I’ve heard Apple Care+ is the best thing to go for, I’ve never lost a previous phone or had one stolen it’s just the caution of having a new phone which puts me on the edge.
