My clear MagSafe case arrived today. MagSafe cahrger is due to arrive Friday or Monday but hasn’t been charged or dispatched yet so probably after the phone arrives.
Last year I got the green 11 Pro and a clear case but it was really hard to press the buttons. i should have got it swopped at apple but instead bought a yellow leather one that looked great, but, well, it seemed to soak blood in like a sponge, so it ended up looking gross. (I’m diabetic and lance my finger a to do sugar level tests a few times a day, so often end up with little bits of blood accidentally getting on stuff!). Then I got my bike so got a QuadLock case to easily attach it to the handlebars, so really I never got to show off the nice colour. The blue looks like it’ll stand out better so giving the clear case a go again for now, until more third party cases come out or I can be sure it’s durable without one on.
I’d definitely like a MagSafe bike mount, assuming it is strong enough to hold the phone down if you go over bumps.
I 100% would too, but from the video above about the wallet that looks incredibly unlikely.
I won’t buy a magsafe charger either, because of the 3ft cable. My phone cables have to be at least 9ft long to have full range of movement on my bed while charging.
Thanks @Revels. I’d talked myself out of the wallet anyway - and seeing the video I think I’ve talked myself out of the Magsafe charger. It doesn’t seem very strong [although high charge rate] so I think I’ll stick with my Anker stand.
Appreciate your finding the video though and impressed you remembered who asked the question.
I wasn’t going to get a 12 as I still had a year left on my XR contract with EE, however, I get 0 signal at all on any band at our new address and after 48 hours of bickering with EE have got them to cancel the remainder of my contract!
Just placed an order for the 12 Pro in Pacific Blue with Sky, Unfortunately won’t come until the 2nd November
Wasn’t interested in 5G but as it’s a free Upgrade for existing Sky Customers I can’t say no to that
I wasn’t upset that they excluded the charging brick from the iPhones even though they supply a USB-C rather than USB-A cable, however, I am pretty pissed that the MagSafe charger doesn’t come with a plug, that’s ridiculous in my opinion
I’ve got the product red iPhone 11 - I always get black usually but the red was the only one left on an exceptionally good Black Friday offer. So glad it was. Such a lovely colour
Hmm, i’m not sure, I guess it does and it doesn’t, it didn’t necessarily bother me because other devices in their ecosystem are now USB-C only i.e Macbooks, iPads etc. If they’d done a USB-A I couldn’t charge or connect it to my Macbook without an adapter.
If I’m buying a Charger on it’s own, I’m buying it charge the phone, it’s the only thing you’d buy it for, a power brick would seem important for that to me, otherwise i’d keep plugging it in to my laptop
I dont know if i make sense, others may disagree, but sems silly that there’s not a brick with one of the two
I’m not (currently) bothering with a MagSafe charger.
My iPhone chargers overnight with an IKEA wireless charger that I’ve mounted flush-ish in my bedside table. It isn’t fast, but it doesn’t need to be as long as it gets me to 100% by the morning.
I have a looooong cable by my sofa if I’m running short. CarPlay in the car that will charge and if I’m out for the day I have a portable charger.
And like above, I don’t have a USBC plug, so I’d need both, for £50+ to barely improve anything.
This will all change when I need to find something to ask Santa for.
But if the argument is that people have a bunch of wall plugs, then you should just stop bundling them with things. I have plenty of wall plugs, but no MagSafe charger. If I didn’t have a wall plug, I can buy one separately. Maybe buying them separately makes the money-grab aspect clearer, though, so I definitely get that.
I agree with this if Apple had kept USB A this year, but bundling a USB C to lighting and then removing the charger seems odd. Think they should have included a USB C plug this year but say this is the last year.
