iOS 16

So… what browsers does everyone use?

I sent the 14 Pro Max back, but today picked up a 14 Pro which I actually really like.

I’ve tried Chrome and Safari, but for some reason when I tap reply here in the forums, the screen seems to zoom in as shown in the image below and cuts some of the chat off.

Are there any browsers that don’t do this? I have text set 85%.

I use safari, this happens to me too. But if you click on the top of the reply it goes back out to normal view.

I don’t think it does when I had the text at 100% or whatever it is.

Apple really need to consider additional display settings tbh, the Monzo app, everything looks so big :expressionless:

I’m the 16.5 update I believe.

Settings then Safari, 85 is just right visibly.

Must be because the zoom and maybe zooms back in when typing. Maybe it’ll advance over time.

Hmm that’s strange, this is mine (100% zoom).

Glad you like the 14 Pro though! I regret getting the Pro Max so much, wish I went for the normal sized.

I have adjusted the text size already before considering changing the zoom, I’ll toy a bit more and see what I can achieve.

I’m on whatever the latest public beta is (16.5 I believe) and 100% zoom.

It doesn’t actually bother me that it does this by the way

New Apple Store.

I’m shocked that Apple would allow tourists inside their offices.

Inside slightly more than reception, cafeteria etc.

They won’t be allowed into everyone’s office!

I’m more of a working from home guy. I don’t like going to my own workplace who actually pay me, let alone someone’s else’s.

I imagine Battersea Power Station is already a big tourist spot, whereas there is nothing else of note around the spaceship.

Help.

When I go to some apps they ask that I go to sign in and brings up the system web browsers to do so.

Everytime it does, I can’t seem to type anything as keyboard doesn’t come up.

Happens with the virgin app as above, and same goes for the Lidl app too.

Any suggestions to resolve?

Not using any alt keyboard or anything, and using Safari browser generally but they seem to open in system browser anyway.

Edit: resolved by restarting device, but I’m sure I did the other day for Lidl and it wasn’t happening.

I have had something similar.

I think I navigated away from the page, then used the back button to return.

As another alternative, type your details into another app (notes) and copy them. Then try to paste them in.

Seems to have resolved itself for now.

Shame the Lidl app doesn’t allow you to add the card to Apple Pay.

Download Stocard and add it into there then to Apple Pay

Is the iPhone 11 still a decent phone ? Looking to upgrade from a iPhone 7 due to the NFC not working and the screen being on the small side.

Found a good deal for £22 per month for the iPhone 11 ( 24month contract ). Currently have a sim-only deal with EE which is £10 per month, no brainer to pay an extra £12 for a fancier phone then cancel EE and go with ID mobile.

Only downside is EEs " Early termination " is expensive. I think they knock 4% off what you’d pay if you stuck with the contract

Mainly use my phone for WhatsApp, email, browsing web and occasionally YouTube/

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I intend on getting the iPhone 11 on a 24month contract with ID mobile - then stick with it for the whole duration.

Currently, I have a sim only contract with EE which expires in 10 months. Which I intend on cancelling and paying the early termination. The iPhone 7 is not tied in with any contract, it’s a phone I purchased in 2020 outright. ( my sim-only EE simcard is in my iPhone 7 )

Buying outright is too expensive for me, I’d find it more manageable to pay in small amounts.

Yeah I don’t have a huge budget unfortunately, I like my phones to be brand new so refurb is not an option, and the cost of the iPhone 11 is my absolute limit.
But it seems a well rounded phone for what I need it for.

In regard to the SE, 4.7" is way too small a screen size.

Suppose I could pop down to a mobile phone store and check the 11 out before I think about buying it.
