No, it wasn’t providing exact information. In comparison, I got a much more detailed and informed response via Twitter than I did via the in-app chat. If anything, the responses should have been the other way round.
I’ve never had one of the traditional banks display my account into a 0 balance US dollars account - that’s a new one on all counts.
Anyway - seems to be back to normal for me now. Fingers crossed it stays that way. Is anyone else still having the issue?
similar here , my savings pot is £ 0 - yikes I can understand people getting concerned about it , its not good, however I trust Monzo will sort it out as quickly as they can
Interestingly the actual savings balance when you scroll down the pot shows all my transactions and balance
It won’t let me withdraw anything, already tried that as thought what you described might be the case. Unless it’s a coincidence and my savings really have disappeared!
The USD account balances and £0 savings pot balances are two separate issues. A status page update is going up for the savings pot issue now.
As before, the money in your accounts remain unaffected. Though for the savings pots issue specifically, the apps will try and stop you from making withdrawals until it sees a balance again.
Fixed for me, but I wonder how many people have the same feeling when the app cold starts and it temporarily shows the balance as £0 whilst the balance updates.
On a slow 3g connection, that £0 lingers for a long time, even though it’s not my underlying balance. Maybe showing just a “£” instead of “£0” for null values/updating values?
On the iOS app balance issues, @joshbruce recently finally fixed the remaining known balance loading/caching issues in the iOS app. Should be in an App Store release very soon.
When the balance is truly unknown, the iOS app should soon display £… again.
