I don’t know if it’s a bug or not but I’ve been referring Mondo to many friends using my unique link. However, I still haven’t been able to bump up the queue?
Is it supposed to take a while before it actually works?

You should see it straight away so long as they have used your link to sign up.
My friend bumped themselves up the queue this evening and it was near instant. They referred someone at 18:34 and had “unlocked Mondo” at 20:44.
Infortunately it doesn’t work for me. There probably is a problem with my account. It works for my friends and we do the same thing.

I think the referred person has to sign up and activate the app and everything, though I could be wrong. Hopefully you won’t be waiting too much longer and you’ll be topping up your card in no time.
@HoddzDJ In theory signing up with the unique link should be enough to bump up the queue (it worked for my friends). I guess I’m just unlucky with this one and will have to be a bit patient thank you for the advice
@anon14600345 I tried to sign up with a second email I have for myself and it didn’t bump me up, that was about a month or so ago. Strange…
