Help us improve CASS switching

Thanks, I’ve messaged them asking how I can adopt an Octopus so will see what they say! :rofl:

There’s something to be said for creating a buzz around an advertising character. The previous generations will recall Flat Eric (Levi’s) and Munkey (PG Tips), and the older ones amongst us may even remember Busby (British Telecom) which all became collectible toys.

I was saying in another thread that I received a sloth with my Eve mattress, who appears on their adverts.

So perhaps a Hot Chip plushie with every CASS is an idea, similar to the :disco: neon :sunshine: cards :juicy: promotion, which seemed to get a bit of traction on what youngsters call ‘socials’ :grimacing:

Masterstroke marketing. Only trumped by Nick Kamen in the washer facility for 501’s and the Guinness anticipation ad - wow

I remember when the PG Tips monkey used to be used by ITV Digital back in the day! Looks like there’s quite a few on eBay.

Good morning! :coffee:

We have a prototype for you :palms_up_together:

Have a play around and tell us what you think.

If you have any trouble accessing it let me know, this is the first time I’ve shared a Figma prototype outside of Monzo.

Looks very nice, easy to read and go through, modern and slick.

One thing that is not clickable in the prototype is the ‘Change’ link next to the switch date. I wanted to see what it looks like when you choose a different date and if the app makes it clear what is the earliest possible switch date.

Good spot! We’ll make sure that’s useable in time for testing.

It’s basically a date selector with the earliest possible date being 7 working days from that moment in time.

I like it.

On this little heads up it might be worth clarifying if it’s possible to switch a joint account into a joint account.

I also tried clicking around to try and find other new elements of the app but it wasn’t possible.

Firstly thanks @maxwhite for sharing a Figma with the community, more of this please! :slight_smile:

Some thoughts;

  • The twitter feed at the bottom, I’m not really sure why this would be relevant. But it did look nice.
    -Overall looks really nice, I like

Firstly, love to see a prototype and have a little play! So thanks.

Overall, really like it. Very smooth.

I noticed that clicking either of the common questions on the switch date page takes you to the same FAQ page. Realise this might just be me but felt a bit weird that clicking two different things took me to the exact same page/view (i.e. not even focussed on the right question if you didn’t click on the top one)

Clearly there isn’t a lot of text for either question so my first thought was maybe having the text expand/accordion from the questions on click but not sure I’ve seen that anywhere else in-app so maybe wouldn’t fit.

Anyway, lot of words for a v small musing, and def think this is a big improvement overall and love the engagement :innocent:

Glad you like it!

The thinking there is that switching bank to Monzo is a big deal for lots of our customers. If they can see other people have gone full Monzo and had such good experiences doing so, it’ll encourage people to switch.

We’ve seen a similar approach work well with Monzo Flex so we’re curious to see if it translates here too.

Thank you!

I think Victoria (designer) has put the content on the same FAQ page as a simple solution for testing. I imagine that the finished thing would take you to a page dedicated to the question/answer. Agree that where the answer’s nice and short we could think of a less disruptive way of surfacing it.

Appreciate you taking the time to share :raised_hands:

Some thoughts from me;

The first page with the positive reviews, although they mention going #FullMonzo, there’s no mention of using CASS. If I don’t have direct debits to move over, going full Monzo might just require a 2min details update on my work HR system. Not as “scary” as using CASS and closing an old account.

Address page. I’m guessing this is the Monzo address you have on file? “This is your address saved with Monzo. Does it match to Lloyds?”

Once I “Go Home” then that’s that. I don’t know if in real life there’s a message in the feed, but a progress bar below the Flex line with current status would be great.

Was just about to suggest this. Hopefully you can show something clever in a prominent position.

Plus Minus?
