I’m not a monzo customer never heard of it in my life I’m in the USA Buffalo ny and also some one used your account and took out 900 on my Venmo bank I been in touch every day with them. Filing a dispute they decline it 2 and also started a appeal with them they declined it 2 so I started another dispute with them because monzo top up took out 900 on Oct 30 I tried calling Monzo can’t get a answer at all it plays music and then says sorry try your call again later so I sent them Venmo of what I did proof and they have a dispute going again 3 time now but Monzo does not want to work with them to give me my nys government funds ssi money back to me there I also change the card with them and password to my account but need your assistance asap thanks please get back to me asap on this frustration issue there

If you don’t have an account with monzo they can’t really help.

You need to follow the rules for your own country in raising a dispute with your bank, raise a complaint with them if they’re refusing the claim and you’re unhappy about it.

We can’t help here as we are predominantly UK customers of monzo. Not staff.

Are you saying a Monzo customer topped up their Monzo account fraudulently using your Venmo?

If so, it’s Venmo you need to contact and dispute the transaction as fraud. It’s their job to then investigate and deal with Monzo on your behalf. Monzo probably won’t be able to help you very much.

I’m sorry this happened to you and I hope you get it sorted. It’s really not the best first impression of a bank you’ve never heard of when they’re involved in a fraudulent transaction.

This isn’t Monzo. We’re just a bunch of (UK based) bank geeks on a forum… You need to contact Monzo Bank.

They said hey worked with 2 times all ready with a dispute and 2 appeals with monzo both failed with your company for a fraud issue of monzo taking 900 out of my bank I will keep filing disputes with your company till we get the is resolve

So no point jabbering on here. Monzo cannot and will not help you.

Your fraud has nothing do with them. If someone has used a payment service and taken money from your account then that is who you need to speak to. Regardless of what they say this is not a Monzo issue.

Just to be clear, Monzo isn’t my company and I don’t work for them. I’m just a customer like everyone else here.

You need to tell Venmo it wasn’t an authorised transaction and report the fraud to your state attorney general.

Venmo shouldn’t be sending you to query it with Monzo unless there’s a misunderstanding and they believe it’s your Monzo account. Be clear and tell them it was an unauthorised debit and you want the money back. Only Venmo can help you get your money back here, I’m afraid.

I’d guess they’ve seen a $900 transfer made from their Venmo account, and the transaction details refer to a Monzo account top up.

They’ve raised a dispute with Venmo but it’s been rejected, now seeking to get in touch with Monzo US to resolve the dispute.

At a guess, OP has been scammed or negligent, allowing someone access to their Venmo account to make the payment.
