There’s been some new features and I’m trying them out
I vote no to the big sidebar that’s enabled currently
Out of interest, why? I can’t decide if I love or hate it and I can’t put either into words.
(this seems to be discourse’s vision for the future of communities though)
I see similarities to Slack
Clicking the sandwich collapses it away.
I really like the sidebar
I was initially OMG WHY.
Then I used it and thought it was quite nice. Haven’t tried on desktop yet though…
It takes up so much space and there’s a huge amount of vertical redundant space too.
The little icon next to my user icon was much slicker, plus I could open it when I wanted without it taking over the page.
“Personal chat”
Edit: I can only think of this post. I’m now pretty worried about how folk might use this feature.
This is not that helpful really
Birthdays/Anniversaries and others like Coral Crew (seriously reduced in its current listing) have always been available via Groups. It’s just now in a different place (sidebar)
I like the sidebar when accessing through a laptop browser. No good on mobile though.
Also had notifications from years ago pop-up
The usual URL filters are still intact though , like ‘https://community.monzo.com/u?order=posts_read&period=all’
Can we get rid of the sidebar please, or at the very least the option to decide whether to have it displayed.
Things should return to normal shortly - just trying some of the new feature that the forum provider has provided and see if any are a good fit for our Community
When scrolling down I often touch the like button. I’m selective with likes and don’t give them out often.
I’m always accidentally liking things on my phone in this community
