I’ve just received the update where my account and pots have been split into the two tabs: Feed and Manage. It also seems to have taken away something I loved: the one line in the current account transaction list for each bill paid from a pot.
Feedback and ideas:
Current account
- It’s not useful for me to see two separate transactions when something is being paid from a pot. Showing ‘Rent & Bills + 30.00’ followed by ‘Thames Water -30.00’ is not adding anything, clogs up the feed and could be confusing. ‘Thames Water (paid from Rent & Bills pot) -30.00’ is much clearer, gives the information I need (and only the information I need) and doesn’t clog the feed. I miss it this feature!
- ‘Manage’ as a title doesn’t convey what’s behind the tab for 2 of the first things you see: account details and account statements. It’s also not consistent with what ‘Manage’ does for pots, which is closer to what the ‘Payments’ area does for current accounts. Tbh I don’t have an idea for this one so maybe this feedback is less useful but maybe not!
Pots
- If I use a pot to pay bills or to save, when I navigate to that pot I’m looking to see where money is going to and from, and when. An endless list of ‘current account -30.00, current account -13.43…’ doesn’t provide me with any useful information.
- If the money was automatically withdrawn to pay a bill, it should say so. If it was just moved to the current account then it’s fine as it is.
- The main thing I’m looking for when I look at a pot is how much is left to pay this month, so I think this should be at the top of the feed.
- I also think upcoming payments in the list (like in the current account) should be shown in the feed - again, this is what I’m looking for when I come to a pot
