I fell for a Facebook scam last week, it was a sponsored post that I thought had been shared by a friend. I realised once I made the initial purchase as I was sent a suspicious link to ‘complete the purchase’. I did not do this, however, there is now a pending £9 transaction on my card. I froze my card and took all of my money out to be cautious. I have now noticed today that someone attempted to charge a £37 payment to the same payee. I have reported this as fraud and ordered a new card as I did not make this transaction. This also now confirms that my initial purchase definitely was suspicious and a scam. Is there any way Monzo can please help me to block this pending payment?
