Extra/Perks Card activation

Morning all,
I opened my account last week and after selecting the ‘Extra’ card I then upgraded to the ‘Perks’ card within a few minutes. Now both cards have been delivered. Does it make a difference with regards to which one I activate?

The app should be requesting you add the latest, so Perks.

Would it make a difference if I activate the ‘Extra’? I my have mixed them up and used the wrong one.

It may not allow you to activate the older card.

Perks is a different colour to your standard monzo/extra card.

Hi Carlos,
I had two bright orange cards delivered on the same day. In too much of a hurry, I activated the ‘Extra’ and not the ‘Perks’ card. Just tried a contactless payment and it was declined. I’m assuming Monzo rightfully declined this as they would be expecting the ‘Perks’ card to be activated. I’ll rectify this later today. :blush:
