Using a new Card?

I have my new card, yay!

It has been activated and I have my PIN (which I know I need to change)

Do I need to do anything else before I can start using it? I think I saw something about having to do at least 1chip and pin initially before contactless would work?

I think you used to have to do the first transaction with a PIN number , but unsure whether you have to now , you could always take some cash out when you change your PIN then its done if needed. I would use a "proper " banks ATM though as some link machines etc don’t like Monzo

Or ask in app chat if you need to do first one with PIN ?

My card worked using contactless for the first transaction :slight_smile:

As Monzo cards have to be activated, which you have done, you can use contactless from the get go. Enjoy!

Thanks for all of the replies! Is it really wrong to be excited by my £1 taken and then refunded by Google? :smile:
