Long time Monzo user. Generally very happy as there aren’t many problems.
However, whenever I try to pay using contactless, it stalls and makes me have to enter the pin. This is EVERY time.
I understand the £100 limit.
Today I made a £30 payment and yet again had to enter the pin.
Its really quite annoying as I use other cards and don’t have the same issue.
It also holds a queue up when I want to get away quickly and almost makes me feel that I look dodgy lol.
What do I have to do so I can make small payments and just go???
Contactless has a countdown from a set value to zero. Once you hit zero, you have to enter your pin. To fix/adjust this:
From the home screen, tap on your Personal/Joint account card, then tap on the three dots on the right-hand side of the card image. Tap on ‘Manage account’, scroll down and tap on ‘Customise contactless limits’ - ensure the top selector is enabled and the 2x sliders are set to the preferred values:
