We hope so too, only so that we finally get a picture.
Can we see the debit card?
After no updates for over a week, they sent me an email this week with a few follow up questions. Too early to tell if they will open account/whether they can handle relatively complex KYC effectively.
So last night, I had the really big Welcome Pack arrive!
So hopefully, today is the day that the card arrives!
Seems to be taking a long time for anyone to actually get this account open?
Any new debit card arrivals yet?
Sorry didnāt see this! So I didnāt call or anything, just received everything in one day.
Hereās the card - and can confirm still no Apple Pay!
Now thatās a very smart looking card. Iām a lot more tempted to get it now - wonder if the USD/EUR cards have it written somewhere?
Ah so thatās the same card I have. Still says private bank. Mind you it did take them ages to update the lettering when Santander changed their font.
I did!!!
You can use Curve for Apple Pay
⦠and meanwhile a bewildered NCA operative, who fouled up their last job, has been tasked with establishing a link between a raggle-taggle group of account applicants, whose only commonality is belonging to a Monzo Users forum and who seem to be behind an orchestrated assault on the bankās admin and support networks ā¦
As for motive ā¦
Has anybody gone for the Euro or dollar accounts and cards?
I have applied for the USD account!
Was doing some research on the USD account and noticed it charges $3 to receive a payment and $40 to send a SWIFT payment. Doesnāt seem very competitive

Iāve received my welcome pack. Now just waiting for the good stuff to arrive like the debit card and cheque book
Yeah, looks like itās only useful if you largely operate in pounds and change into dollars from the sterling account.
Euro account looks much better. Free in/out transfers and ATM use if my reading is correct. Only downside is that I gather it uses a UK BIN.
I completed my application last Wednesday lunchtime (14/02) and received an acknowledgement at 12:55, stating that I would hear from them again in 5 - 7 working days.
7 (and a half) working days later I havenāt had anything further, although to be fair, our street hasnāt been blessed with a visit from Royal Mail (again) today.
It will be interesting to see just how long the process does in fact take, given that some people seem to have had some communication and, in a couple of cases, actually have a card in their possession.
There sure is @thehamshackman and a paying in book
I ordered the cheque book on the full website, I didnāt see the option on my fake app / mobile website.
