Lloyds does
Thanks for the info, Using the Santander app would have made more sense.
Anyone with the Euro and Dollar account, do you get the same Debit card as the Private one? Any difference?
Still no news just yet - the have asked for more information several times and I now suspect they have no one to actually do (U)HWI due diligence
Nice card, yes, but the account sounds useless. No Apple Pay!?
No the only alternative is Curve
Donāt even get me started on how many hurdles you have to go through just to see your transaction list on the Internet Banking
I connected it to the Lloyds app and can see all transactions + Balance + Account Details.
Thank you @Carlo1460
How many letters should I receive after opening an account? I got the big welcome pack and the debit card so far, but seems there isnāt the customer ID inside.
Letter1 Customer ID
Letter2 Account Details
Debit Card
PIN
Checkbook (optional)
I donāt think I COULD keep it open for too long as I expect them to change their eligibility criteria in the future. Like a U turn to be a private bank again. Otherwise it is also possible they make a redesign, Cater Allen Public Bank and change the branding, account names, etc. Ofc I doubt Santander Close Cater Allen to focus on their own Private Offerings.
This seems to be Santanderās real Private Banking offering.
Does everyone who applied now have their accounts set up and card etc.,?
Yep. But itās very ancient. I sent a tenner and it didnāt update for 2 days. Then when I withdrew said tenner it said I still had a tenner in my balance for 4 days
Iād interested to know if anyone who ends up using this account (I suspect there wonāt be many) feel the customer service is worth the downsides (no app / Apple Pay etc). Iām guessing not, but on the occasions I need to speak to a bank itās often a slow, frustrating process. If you can get straight through to someone that is big plus point, if they can help with queries, rather than just try to sell you other services.
I have been using the account for a few weeks now.
It has been fine tbf.
The customer service has been very good and I have had some issues and giving them a quick ring I had someone talking to me in like 2 minutes.
Apple Pay was an issue for me as I use Apple Pay daily and it holds most of my cards. So I carry the physical card with me and also I use Curve for Cater Allen and I have had no issues.
Mostly I have been using the card on the London Underground and tapping on and off and its been perfect. No Issue!
Thanks, thatās a really helpful summary, good to see itās not been a total disaster, given their terrible TrustPilot and other ratings! Might give it a go.
How long does it take for money to go in? I transferred money about an hour ago and still nothing?
Just to be clear, when I said I might give it a go, I didnāt mean moving my main account over to them! Iām not a total masochist!
You should try First Direct.
