I dont’t know which distinguished britishman you spoke with but I just called them and heard the thickest spanish female accent I have ever heard. After her waffleling for 30 seconds I could only understand the last sentence which is ‘call us next week, bye’. She didn’t even bothered taking my application reference number
UPDATE: Re called them, I think this time it was the distinguished britishman (and yeah he really is nice to speak with).
Surprisingly my account has been opened (2 day ago) even though I have no income
Knew it was photoshopped (highly doubt they would call it Public Bank) but the red colour does work really well with that design.
I do wonder why Santander is keeping Cater Allen around if they have essentially ditched the income requirement. But cahoot does also still exist so Santander doesn’t seem to like closing their older brands.
no only that but Santander has their own premier banking, private banking and global private banking services so I believe Cater Allen ‘private bank’ is only competing with itself. It doesn’t really make sense.
Indeed. Do you reckon there’s enough time for me to get their Euro card before I tootle off to Germany on March 30th if I apply this afternoon?

(Sorry, I will have to escalate this.)

Their sales team are going to be perplexed that they’ve got fifty times the usual new customers for the last couple months from everyone in this thread.
Winston my dear fellow, what did we do to get so many new peasants?
I’ve no idea Rupert, I find the situation rather enigmatical.
Cheque book and postal paying in book both arrived today. Nice sleek design, matches the debit card. Would upload a photo, but by the time I’ve hidden all my personal data there won’t be anything left to look at
What do the Cater Allen debit cards look like in Apple Pay and the actual physical version too please? I remember seeing a post saying they weren’t anything like the version shown on the website, but I can’t now find the photos in the thread. Thanks
Got through very quickly to speak to someone to authorise my card and hadn’t - stupidly - got all the necessary information to hand.
The person I spoke with was very patient and extremely helpful. I offered to hang up and call back rather than waste his time but he declined and said it wouldn’t be a problem waiting whilst I retrieved what I needed.
Day 15, Got the big useless pack. I now have all account info except Debit card and PIN.
I do have a big problem however, the Santander pilot app doesn’t have Cater Allen for open banking connection anymore… Any way to see the account activity in any other banking app?
