Card information rubbing off

Is this a new security feature.
Card 6 months old.
And I pay how much for this?

Depends what plan you’re on, but effectively £0.00 cost.

Just order a replacement due to poor quality.

This gave me a good chuckle, but as Carlo said the replacement will essentially be free as its a quality control issue.

On Max plan but it’s a bit of a poor show.
Never had this problem with all the other Monzo cards.
Just pointing out a quality issue.

The quality of Monzo cards has always been subpar

Woah! That’s a lot of lost numbers. :stuck_out_tongue:

Do you store it in your wallet next to sandpaper?! :joy:

People are always asking for plain cards with no numbers. You’re almost there :sunglasses:

If all physical cards moved to ApplePay or GWallet then they would become obsolete. It’s got to happen one day.

Gonna be a while before that happens, quite a few people still prefer a physical card

What did you do with the others, vacuum seal them? Monzo has always been crap for card quality, you can likely get this replaced for free

Maybe. But think of all the plastic that won’t be used. Everything goes digital eventually.

I like a debit card as much as anyone but if they went digital only I would be 100% happy with that. I’m more into the designs than the physical card.

I thought Monzo used rPVC in making the cards thet do keep going on about being green.

Funny thing is I checked my other cards and they all have a clear plastic covering to stop said abrasion. That’s what normally goes on my cards as it starts to peel back.
I prefer cards and use the phone as a back up. The quicker they can embed the rfid under the skin the better.

Yeah, its still plastic tho even if it is recycled

Sometimes you need to know your card number without having your phone or logging in!

Not to mention all the people refusing to use cards and insisting on using something called “cash”? They’re at least a few decades away from Apple Pay

Someone in my friend group started using cash for everything sometime last year so she could somehow spend less money, she lasted around 2 months before giving up and going back to card.

I find using cash a bit of chore now. If somewhere doesn’t take card they don’t get my business. I organised our Christmas shin dig at work this year and my supervisor went off on a rant at my insistence that he had to either send me the contribution by transfer or he could give me cash but I wouldn’t give him change as I don’t have any. :joy::joy::joy:

I’m very much the same, there’s no reason a place can’t take card unless it’s tax purposes (each opinion to their own, and I know it’s not always the case).
