BUG: delayed appearance in activity feed from easy access pot withdrawal

Issue:
I withdrew money from an OakNorth pot within Monzo, and usually it shows in the upcoming section in the main activity feed instantly, but today when i withdrew money it took almost 15 minutes for it to show the upcoming withdrawal. This was despite force quitting the app a few times to try and get it to update. Not a big deal but I was a little anxious until I saw it appear. Maybe just a one off but just logging it here in case there is a bug.

Details to reproduce: withdraw money from easy access (3rd party) pot and check activity feed.

OS: iOS :apple: 17.6.1
Device: iPhone 14 Pro
App Version: 5.90.0

It may not be a bug, but rather a delay with either:

  • Monzo’s systems
  • The communication between Monzo and OakNorth.

Especially considering a force close and reopen (which refreshes your feed) didn’t show the scheduled withdrawl.
I suspect OakNorth need to acknowledge the request before the app can confirm the transfer, so the UI will probably not update until that happens.

[Note: I don’t work for Monzo and do not know how their backend systems work, so this is just speculation]
