Have tried for 5 hrs today to sign up to Monzo when I sign up it asks to activate with email I get email and activate it then it goes to a black page anybody any ideas.
Delete the app, and reinstall the app. Follow the login process and see if that resolves it.
Tried that about 20 times still end up with a black screen. I download the app put in email address then get email from Monzo to activate it when I do this it’s just a black screen with home toggle and help toggle nothing works. My phone is also up to date with software. Thanks.

Yes in 2025 but it’s all deleted and removed mate it’s an absolute joke trying to find a bank to take sufficient funds think I going to go to revolt I already have it installed and ready to go Monzo are saying all there specialists are busy which is not filling me with confidence if they are all having problems I have tried everything and tried for 2 days I have the app on my Home Screen but when I open it it’s the usual black screen just sick of trying. Just be careful you have no FSCS protection with Revolut’s current account (You do with savings because it’s held with other banks), try emailing Monzo support if it’s beyond 30 days they should be able help get your account re-opened
What phone do you have?
If you have ever had an account before you either need to use a different email and phone number or email help@monzo.com as per Monzo Help - Reopening your account. The problem you are having is because your credentials are still linked to the closed account. Quite why Monzo can’t put up a screen saying that is beyond me though!
Yeah it’s weird they can’t show something like " We see you have a closed account with us, if it’s past 30 days since you closed the account email us at help@monzo.com to reactivate" or something simple like that
Thanks mate I have a lump sum to put into Monzo but I have struggled for 2 days and I am just sick of deleting re installing everything else on my phone works every single app streaming the lot it’s just Monzo is there any other account which is good for savings. Just had enough of trying we Monzo just the same black screen for 2 days. I’m going to try it with my son’s iPad tonight and if I can’t get it on my phone I will try somewhere else.

Why do you need to out it in Monzo?
You need to explicitly include a link to the help page I linked above when you email them. I had exactly this issue a year or so ago and it took about 5 emails to get sorted - the first few replies didn’t seem to understand what I was asking for and I got a similar reply saying “you don’t have an account with us”
Can you send me the link again mate been on phone for 2 days trying to get sorted running out of patience. What was the problem with your account then I can ask them to have a look. I have deleted and reinstalled about 25 times mate.

No matter what device you use you will not be able to get access until they clear your old account. I’ve just checked and it took 7 emails from me before they sorted it. Customer Services doesn’t seem to be Monzo’s strong suit….
Yup, even after the 30 days certain things like email and number it seems are retained which can cause issues when someone goes to re-open accounts even past the 30 day window when you’d expect them to have been released

When I applied again, used a new number and email, I was rejected.
I appealed, it was over turned, I then had to ask to remove the number and email from my old account so I could use it with my new account.
All sorted fairly quickly.
The black screen shouldn’t happen either way, it should give a splash screen for whatever reason.
OP still hasn’t said the urgency for the funds needing to be in Monzo…
Likely KYC most banks have a strict one account per person rule, new number and email still requires fresh KYC at which point documents can link the same person
They have asked me to send a selfie with me holding proof of identification I have already done that yesterday Monzo is an absolute joke mate.
