I did an account switch from Monzo to starling - the full switch completed on 29th November.
I sent a couple of test payments to my Monzo account and these have still not been redirected to my starling account.
Monzo are saying to wait 2 days - slightly anxious as my employer can’t change my banking details until next month and I’m due to be paid on Friday. Concerned these funds will also not be redirected.
Is it normal for funds to take a while to move into the new account - it’s been 2 days
The Switch Guarantee says the new bank will “arrange for payments accidentally made to your old account to be automatically redirected to your new account”. So I’d highlight the Current Account Switch Guarantee to them if they say it’s not their responsibility.
They need to raise it with Monzo, not you. Your only job is to tell them when you want to switch and the rest should be done for you.
Remember the last point if the CASS guarantee is that they’ll cover any fees or interest if things go wrong with the switch - so if it were me I’d relax, assume it’s all going to sort itself out by the end of the week, and only worry about making a complaint if things go wrong.
