Apple Pay constantly declined despite reinstalling card and using chip & pin first

Help! I need to be able to use Apple Pay as well as the physical card and all contactless payments using my phone get declined. What can I do?

Does the error reach the monzo app? What is the decline reason?

Is this various merchants or just the same one?

Hi Carlo- it has been a while because I avoid using it so I will try again to see what error message I get in Monzo. I think it’s just says ‘declined’. I have also called Apple to declare this fault but they send me back to Monzo. Every single Apple Pay transaction is declined to various different sellers.

Apple don’t handle the wallet or authorisation.

Might be worth just replacing your card under faulty.

Also check your card settings to ensure contactless isn’t set to £0.
