Apple go through ups and downs and generally at the moment I consider them to be on a high. iPhones are decent value compared to say the XS back then, the laptops have functioning keyboards, all is good with the Apple world. And then they keep you on your toes with something insane like the trash can Mac, the monitor stand a few years ago or that ridiculous sock

Keeps them in the press I suppose. All publicity is good publicity

I switched to the 17 Pro after yet another stint with Android. I keep coming back whenever I miss how much thought is put into every little detail. Couldn’t believe it when I saw it can even be a GPS phone in an emergency! (I’m sure some Androids can probably do that; it’s the first I’ve seen it though). Don’t know if I’ll be back - the main advantage was sideloading and they’re getting rid of that.

Went for blue, couldn’t stand the orange. Maybe I just got tired of it symbolising YouTube influencers who literally ALL got the orange pro max.

iPhone 17 finally arrived! First impressions: great. Feels noticeably lighter and more comfortable compared to the 13 pro. The AOD is great. Battery life is a huge improvement for me already. And I’ve got another Apple TV trial :joy:

Here’s the all-time unnecessaryaccessory to go with those iPhones:

Ā£220 :eyes:

What iPhone does everyone use? (if you have a iPhone of course)

I am still using the iPhone 14 Pro Max. I went from a iPhone 12 Pro Max, i got the 14 pro max as i wanted the dynamic island and to be honest I don’t see myself updating anytime soon as it works perfectly and still gets all the latest iOS updates.

How you finding it? Part of me thinks having a phone that thin would feel strange?

17 Pro Max here (blue not bright orange). A bit on the heavy side but I like the screen size now that I’m getting old and my eyes aren’t as good

Basic 17 here. Even with the trade in it was a lot of G&T’s. R-

17 pro max, very pleased with it

Orange Pro. I love it

17 Pro. Even this non-max one is the first phone I’ve had where I’ve not really faced battery anxiety yet and can even limit the charge to 80% most days without worrying about running out. YMMV as I don’t do things like gaming on it generally.

I keep going back to Android for the freedom (I do normally sit in the ā€œmy computer, I should be able to do what I want with itā€ camp) but then I keep coming back to Apple for the uncompromising performance, consistently great camera, slick experience, amazing integration with other Apple products, etc. Sadly freedom is dying anyway and we’ll eventually be limited to fully monitored government approved apps - but I have a secondary Android phone for the odd thing the iPhone can’t do in the meantime.

Happened end of last month Apple Ends iPhone Upgrade Program in the UK - MacRumors

Anybody here gone through the AppleCare+ lost process before? with AIG, how’d it go?

Hallelujah! Dreadful lending criteria. Had it one year, vastly improved credit history then was denied. For no apparent reason. I paid cash for it in the end (available funds wasn’t an issue, I just felt more convenient continuing monthly payments at 0%).

Let’s hope ā€˜Creation’ have a more consistent approach. I’ve never been a fan of Barclays, so I may be a little biased in my opinions on them.

Monzo have added some extra white surround to their app icon. Stands out horribly now
