App Evolution (new look Monzo app): Feedback Megathread šŸ“£

I really do hope customisation is key in this next stage because I’m genuinely surprised people wouldn’t want all their monzo and third party accounts at the top together, when that’s what I’m desperate to see so it’s going to be impossible to please everyone with a fixed design. Then there’s things like, I don’t really care about my recent activity, I know what I’ve spent or the figure in my account gives me a good idea, but I would like to see my pots, so I’d rather move the latest activity below pots. 4 days of the month my latest activity is just blocked out with direct debits anyway.

For me this goes back to Monzo being a leader in new ways to bank that aren’t like the big corporate banks. Give customers the option to make their day to day banking experience perfect for them, choose which accounts to show up at the top, choose which widgets are most important to them. From the icon that pops up when you click edit, I’d assume this is what’s happening, but still wanted to throw my thoughts into the ring! @betalogic your mockup is essentially my dream, if latest activity was swapped with the pots widget.

This is my worst nightmare. I’d rather see one card and be able to swipe across (choosing the order that they are in) - perhaps with the ability to press a button to get a quick glance of all of them together if I need it.

Oh wow. If you haven’t opened the Latest Activity screen for a couple of weeks and have a lot of transactions - be prepared to wait a while.

We’re working on some improvements in this area atm, soon the mini feed and full feed will always be in sync

I’ve created a small game in my head now where I try and read as many merchants as possible as they all filter through and update… my records 7 and the outcome is always a headache

I have already noticed  :white_check_mark:

What decides the icon colours for incoming payments? Same from company but the icons are different and I can’t see any corelation

Two bits of feedback:

  • Upcoming payments on the old feed don’t show the reference - instead they show which pot the payment is being taken from. That’s much better than the new one, which just shows the reference. (it’s important to me because it helps me work out whether I’ve budgeted for payment or not).

  • The new feed shows a subtotal of future payments out. This is a major improvement - thank you so much! Just one thing: it doesn’t take into account pot transfers so the number doesn’t total all the future transactions shown below.

Not sure if it’s already been mentioned… the combined feed is using different (better) icons for certain informational feed messages. Hopefully these will be updated in the account feed at some time soon …

I’m not sure who decided it but the gradient on the Monzo text for the premium card is much nicer, it’s subtle but it definitely feels more premium!

I don’t see that coz #teamyellow :sunshine:, so I can’t judge from my display (#nomorewhitemetalforawhile)

13 hours between screenshots and 13% battery loss is good though

How can I join the TestFlight ?

Quick google search brings up the link for it.

not the link :eyes:

Still looks like this on Android:

And I dunno, I’m not sure I’d like the shimmering effect in app. I’d have to live with it for a bit…

Looks like a new gradient on both the Plus and Flex cards as well as the Plus logotype being chromatic in app on iOS

Absolutely love this

What’s the change on Flex?

Also: this is a missed opportunity to add ā€œPlusā€ or ā€œPremiumā€ under the Monzo so match the Flex card. Sadness.

Yeah I stand corrected, no change to the flex card - I think the revised Plus card being next to it made it look different at first glance
