Anything iOS, WatchOS and MacOS Beta chat

Seems we have a few Apple Beta users here so wondering if I could (or was allowed) to make a general thread so we can all discuss maybe?

Had to use the Mondo tag as there is no other tag to use

I have WOS, IOS and MOS. Wanted to load tvOS but don’t have the cable lol

I really hope that they bring USB-C to the new iPhone… (same cable as the Apple TV and Mac)

don’t think they will due to the lightning / headphone possible future issue with some people.

Also as it looks like a reverse lightning connector I think some clunky fingered people would break the connection on the phone thus causing issues for Apple.

iAP2 over USB-C would be interesting to see but no, not happening any time soon.

Download the profile, put it up on an HTTP(S) server you control (Public Dropbox works but you should ideally remove it when you’re done). Then go Settings → General → Privacy, put the selection over Send to Apple under Diagnostic Data and press play/pause → Add Profile. Enjoy and try not to break your Apple TV or you’ll need to buy the cable anyway to restore.

Cheers, will try when I get home

Updated tvOS to BETA and now Hue works off net. :+1:

Perfect, the new HomeKit updates take it from an unusable mess to up to the tiers of the best home control and automation systems I’ve ever worked with.

Anyone else seeing the Mondo widget not loading information on iOS? I’m using an iPhone 5s, public beta.

yeah but it’s an iOS issue rather than a Mondo issue. Some people have got it resolved by resetting network settings but that’s a bit of a hassle

I had the issue where no widgets worked, did a network reset and they worked. Now the Mondo app has stopped working.

Can’t be bothered to reset the settings.

Anyone use MDM on iOS 10?

If you haven’t already got it iOS10 b3 is out same for macOS, watchOS and tvOS

Haven’t done my watch yet but iOS 10 seems much more stable than the previous betas. For an early Apple beta its definitely feeling pretty solid. I have a suspicion there’s development of unannounced features for iPhone 7 going on this now…

I wish I never did my watch :frowning:

Have you tried Sierra and the auto upload to iCloud yet?

Nah I cba updating any of my MacOS devices till it’s released

Its not to bad actually, I find iCloud process maxes out and fans spin up like mental, Citrix receiver does not load up and there is a few other niggles but very useable.

I don’t get why they are on another BETA of El Capitain if macOS is around the corner.

I’ve not looked at how compatible all my server software is with sierra yet, i’ll get round to it one day

@anon72173902 -
I’m not a developer so I have only the Public Beta installed on my phone (not sure when the next Public beta is due)
In fact the only reason I installed the Public Beta on my phone was because I thought it would give me access to the WatchOS 3 beta - not realising that there is no Public Beta of WatchOS 3.

So I was wondering why you regret putting the dev beta on your watch? By all reports it seems to seriously improve the whole what experience.

Public Beta 2 is out now.
