So I bought a 60gbpitem from Aliexpress on 6 installments but I accidentally used my Monzo Flex card on it. It shows 10gbp of the payment due next month but also the rest of the 50gbp. I paid off the first 10 of it. The question is, when the second 10 quid get auto-debited, will it reduce the pending payment to 40 that is due the same day?

Once second payment is collected, it’ll be £40 plus interest remaining.
Tapping on the payment within Flex will show you the plan.
Unless you mean an instalment plan with AliExpress and the payment is taken from flex, the hold will likely drop off day 7 or day 30 the auth was created.

Thank you! Yes the installment plan was on Aliexpress. I got paranoid so I paid off a third of the held amount on top of the initial £10. If the held amount is released after 7 days, will the amount I paid off be refunded?
No.
Ali likely check you have the full purchase amount available to pay - which is placed as an auth which can usually drop off day 7 or 30.
Your payments you make towards your payment plan with Ali will be processed in the normal manner, and will go towards your plan.
If/when the hold releases, it’ll just credit back to your Flex account as though it never held it.
