taken the photo of my id done the video etc it now says verifying account am i now a customer or is this a glitch
This is part of the signup process. It can take a few hours. It will come back to tell you if your verification of ID was successful or not.

Provisional licences are accepted 
I was lucky, mine took minutes 
Any government issued ID is acceptable (unless you work for the government and it’s a work ID)
