I currently have a 360 and used to play crash bandicoot, portal and half life.
Just saw " Forza Horizon 4 " on Youtube and it looks ridiculously realistic and fun.
May get a second hand Xbox One from CEX when it comes out on October 2nd 2018( if anything goes wrong they are good with returns )

Are they real roads ?
Yeah it’s a chunk of Scotland, Lake District, Cotswolds and Welsh mountains. From the trailers Edinburgh princes street looked very accurate, complete with tram tracks and glenfinnan viaduct was in it as well which is in the highlands and used on Harry Potter movies

You can get pretty decent deals on slidr.com if you’re lucky (enough people need to have swiped to see the price without buying) they don’t seem to have any xbox one s’s available right now, but maybe they will near xmas.
I got my xbox one x from there about £100 cheaper than anywhere else I’d seen it. Worth considering maybe 
If your lucky the eBay page for Argos have refurb Xbox One X consoles for just over £300.
As for the S, all depends how much your wanting to pay, you can get an S pretty cheap, could be Black Friday deals with a couple of games included.
It sounds like your just playing Forza so you will be fine regards storage.
