My partner got the same email (we’ve had to do a lot of chasing up this week as they haven’t been very responsive).

Wasn’t your switch to complete 17th? Is that a typo in your email or are they saying they init a switch from the 16th and another seven working days :face_with_peeking_eye:

I’m hoping mine completes on the Monday and paid on Tues :crossed_fingers::palms_up_together::pray:

I can see Direct Debits listed in coop but my balance is £0. :face_with_peeking_eye:

It’s my switch day and my cash is still in TSB :relieved: and that account hasn’t closed as I can still open and use the app.

Luckily I have no DDs out today and the next is the 21st I think.

It’ll get switched today. It happens by the end of the working day.

The Direct Debit mandates are active with Coop so what happens if you had a DD due for today? :thinking:

I’ve had a few complete during the day.

The Switch Guarantee would cover the direct debits.

Yeah I know it’s covered but it seems like intentionally causing an issue if it’s a potential issue rather than doing it at the start.

It’s good that Revels has had theirs at lunchtime which means it’s probably fine.

Don’t banks retry a DD if it can’t be taken first thing? That would cover the balance being transferred in the meantime?

Yeah just checking and looks like a they all agreed to the FCA idea of retry and that includes DDs.

The ā€˜retry process’ means you have until 2 pm – as a minimum – to pay money into the account to cover the payment when it’s ā€˜retried’ by your bank or building society that day.

I think I’ve done ~20 switches over the years and I don’t recall it ever being middle of the day. Hence the jumping to they have ballsed it up mode. :joy:

I’ve done about 12 or 15 switches over the years and most of them have gone through mid-morning. I don’t think I’ve ever woken up and found one that’s gone through in the night.

I had a similar thing with my switch to FD. The DD’s and balance had switched over but the account with TSB was still active. But by the end of that day it was no more and I was fully F’d up…

Just checked and it’s now switched. :raised_hands:

Can still login to TSB, the title changes to ā€œPersonal switch out accountā€. I assume that’ll close after today.

Oh good luck here! Mine took DAYS!

They claimed they called, but then emailed and told me to phone them and I had to do the dance for fraud risk, but it got to me eventually.
