Why *haven't* you gone full Monzo?

I was gearing up to go full Monzo again (third attempt). I put some money in my account and started spending a bit.

Was going to get a change of details form from work and start transferring my direct debits (don’t want to close the old account and partial switch seems to still be unavailable)…

  • then I went into a BP garage on the way home from work to get a drink, a garage I’ve used Monzo in before. It came up in my transaction list as Shell…

This immediately made me think, ‘nah, I’ll stick with my old bank’.

I’ve reported it in-app. I think how long it takes them to fix it will determine whether I try full Monzo again.

Shell is eastbound, BP is westbound - in the same place. I used my card in BP. Pretty certain that they’re completely separate and not run by the same franchisee or anything. So it’s bizarre that this happened.
