There’s a payment processor called Paymentico.com that is constantly incorrect in Monzo
It’s for an adult website so I assume it’s some person trying to hide it from their partner…
It used to be incorrectly named as Apple.com and now it’s H&M lol

I’m not pissed lol, I just thought it was a bit funny although a bit confusing seeing lots of apple store or H&M transactions in my statement

Merchant data at Monzo is a bit of a mess. I recently complained in the other thread about someone changing the delay repay merchant data from ‘First Group’ which is appropriate for all of the franchises they cover to ‘South Western Railway’ which means a lot of people now see the wrong merchant data and try to change it to a different franchise name every other day.
I’m guessing it’s possible something similar might have happened here. Monzo approved the change from Paymentico to one of the sites they cover, someone thought ‘what the hell’ and instead of changing it back to the processor name, changed it to H&M etc. I’m pretty sure we’ve seen this before with non-
-related payment processors showing wrong merchant data too.
Me and the wife have a subscription that comes out of our JA. It shows up as the name of the payment processor which honestly feels like the most appropriate thing here. When I look on their website they say they provide services for ‘high risk industries’ with one of the case studies on their site being a website selling CBD. I imagine you’d be fuming if your CBD purchases suddenly started showing the name of a website, but the magic of Monzo makes it possible to happen
