What's on your 'I want it' list?

AirPods is the best pair of headphones I’ve ever spent money on, nothing else ever comes close. Granted, it’s not audiophile-quality sound (if sound quality is your #1 priority there are better options for that price) but the convenience more than makes up for it.

I’ve recently had to rebuild my Hackintosh PC due to a motherboard failure. Therefore I decided to also buy an upgraded processor (i7-8700k), motherboard (Z370) and 16GB RAM (because the new motherboard needed different RAM…). My 1080 graphics card was fine to transfer over and so were my SSD’s. Therefore I don’t really have much on my ‘really want’ list right now as most of my finances are saving for a deposit.

I do however want to buy some more birth, marriage and death certificates. Weird I know. I’ve really got into family history and want to buy all the certificates issued since 1837 for all my ancestors, this allows me to get specific details like people’s mothers or fathers (to keep expanding backwards) and dates of birth and death, locations, jobs, etc. Thats roughly 127 people each with about 2.5 certificates. So… around 318 certificates at £10 each. Not cheap overall. I do already have around 130 certificates, bought over the last 2 years, but still a long way to go.

I’ve used the wired Apple earphones before and they just didn’t stay in, so I’d be far too concerned if they’re actually still in place.

Maybe my ears just in a minority of huge floppy lugs though lol

I think my AirPods are actually one of the best investments I have ever made. They are awesome.

The thing with AirPods is that there are no wires pulling on them so they’re really light, I suggest you get a pair and worst case scenario return them within 14 days.

When I start earning again I might, but my first self indulgence after ensuring I have enough leftover for monthly commitments will be an Apple Watch.

EDIT: As the article below points out, the current Apple Watch design has been around long enough for them to be thinking up something new and possibly groundbreaking. I think I’ll probably wait until after September to buy one.

I’d say the watch is good for notifications but you only interact with it maybe for like 10 minutes per day? Also if you work an office job with your phone always within sight, having the notifications on the watch isn’t that big of an advantage. The AirPods on the other hand will provide you with endless hours of music. I’d say get the AirPods first.

It’s more to do with the health benefits than anything else. I’ve spoken with some friends who own one and some say it’s not necessary others say it’s helped them to stay motivated where they used to just “yo-yo” in and out of fitness drives, which is what I do.

I don’t find the air pods comfortable nor do I like open earphones.

I got the B&O in ears and they are amazing - the sound quality blows the air pods away (once you switch them to AAC)

I’d be worry about losing airpods. I mean I can’t even keep a pen in one place. Let along a £125 pair of earpods.

As a bit of an audiophile, a few years ago I treated myself to 80 ohms Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro. By far the best sound I’ve ever heard from headphones and even better than a lot of home systems.

For sound, I’ve never heard anything to beat the PSB M4U2 in active mode. Everyone who hears them wants to steal them. Just too big to walk around in.

I don’t know about too big actually. I often see people on the underground with full overear headphones :headphones: that sort of style. Probably helps keep out the sometimes deafening sound from the wheels grinding on the rails round the bends.

It’s a bit too wannabe record producer for me!

But my goodness they look silly. I chuckle to myself everytime I see a pair in the wild.

I want an OLED 4K 24 inch monitor. Can’t wait for OLED to mature or somebody to figure out micro-LED technology.

I’m sick of seeing the black bars while watching movies.
