Cheque imaging and desktop version are 2 things that I’m particularly keen on. Then there’s family/kids accounts. (Granted it’ll be a few years before I need a kids account, however it’s something that my eldest is getting close to the age where it’ll be a appropriate to get her one.
It’s not on the list but i’d love to see Preferential savings for Plustomers - the interest rate is so poor in saving pots I dont bother keeping my savings with Monzo, but I might reconsider that
My pick would be for Monzo to start allowing shares to be bought within the app. A setup similar to freetrade. I’d quite happily switch my investments over to Monzo for the convenience of everything being in one place. Also might actually make Monzo some money, unlike something pointless like dark mode, which would be w poor use of developer time imo
Although they are ultimately a bank, i think people tend to see them a sa tech company so expect them to keep up with “trends” for want of a better word.
Dark mode is quickly becoming an expected feature in most if not all apps, especially if you’re a dark mode user like myself. I refuse to use a lot of apps if they don’t offer it now as it’s too jarring, Monzo is currently an exception to the rule.
Lastly, theoretically it should not take a huge team to accomplish and deliver it, evidence from Android teardowns show that certain frameworks have been put in place ready for Dark Mode, so i’d assume it’s just a question of when rather than if we get it.
