I have both cards now. Is it worth hanging on to the prepaid card? Or is it obsolete now i have a current account?
If you want it as a decoration then hang on to it.
It doesn’t serve any practical purpose now.

I use it in places I don’t want to risk using my card, as it has limited funds, mostly online.
Yes, we’re talking about a deactivated prepaid card that has been replaced by a debit card and no longer works.

Does the prepaid card deactivate when you upgrade to a full account?
Yes, the two accounts merge (if you have the Current Account preview) and the Pre-paid Card becomes obsolete and deactivated.

Yes as soon as you activate your Debit card prepaid will be disabled.

It will go in my ‘fake’ wallet, I’ve been robbed at gunpoint twice whilst travelling, so when I’m in high risk areas I always carry a wallet with a few expired cards and a little cash in it!!
