What’s in your wallet?

Thought it might be interesting.

In my wallet I have:

  • My Monzo card
  • Lloyd’s card
  • Driving licence
  • British cycling card
  • Costa loyalty card
  • Library card

I use the Saddleback medium bifold wallet.

I don’t own a wallet. I have a neoprene pocket on the back of my phone that has my Monzo card and driving licence. Once I get a phone with GPay I’ll only have my ID.

I’m forever moving cards around in it so I can find them when I need them

Since getting my last phone I’ve switched to using a phone case as my wallet. It’s got my Monzo solo card in, my pass for work, my driving license and my N26 card.

Out of interest why do you also use N26?

I don’t really. I’ve got £90 (was £100 but needed you withdraw from an ATM to activate the card) in there as a backup. I would have preferred Starling but they won’t let me reopen my account because of some 12 month rule

I have within two Oyster style type holders, which is slimmer than any wallet I can find:

  • Tandem Card
  • Oyster Card
  • BrewDog Equity for Punks Discount Card
  • Provisional Licence
  • Work Discount Card
  • Work Access Card
  • Starbucks Card
  • Tortilla Discount Card

(I mostly use Google Pay with Monzo so no need for the card, I’ll probably not carry the Tandem one once it’s supported.)

Can you get Costa on the Google pay loyalty cards thing?

My wallet

£20 - remnants of casino Winnings, I rarely carry cash
Curve Card -
Driving License - Still being ID’d into my thirties and bearded
Office Desk Key

I use a Vaultskin Chelsea Slim in Cognac. This thing: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01AYH43CO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_87QjCbP9CA8XV

You can with Starbucks; I only carry the card as you get a star per transaction. I usually buy a coffee for my Dad and have him use the card and me the app so I collect two stars.

  • Somewhere around £15-20 cash, for tactical use to get 20p’s for the washing machine at home
  • Monzo card
  • Revolut card
  • Barclaycard card
  • Tesco clubcard
  • Nectar card
  • Vision Express Grand Advantage card

There’re some other cards that I don’t recall in the secondary card holder for my old wallet which I need to pop into the new wallet when I get back from visiting family :grinning:

I have:

Monzo Card
Electoral ID card
Curve Card
Loalty card for my barbers
£5 Cash

Sometimes I carry a Monese UK card for a backup.

Currently using this wallet/money clip: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B077PN273P
Its nice and fairly thin, would recommend.

This is also a nice wallet if you are looking to cut down on the amount of cards you carry: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/Ultra-Slim-Wallet-Window-Blocking/dp/B01IDS4X30

  • Santander Credit Card
  • Santader Debit Card
  • Monzo Card
  • Driving License
  • University ID Card
  • NUS Card
  • Student Rail Card
  • Glasses wipe
  • 5 business cards for various places
  • 5 physical loyalty cards for coffee shops that haven’t yet gone digital
  • Nandos card
  • £30

Wallet is beginning to fall apart so looking for a new one tbh

Probably could manage with fewer, especially if store cards were better handled electronically, but currently:

  • Monzo card
  • Cash in case of awkward stores
  • Starling (new teal one)
  • Starling (old one - booked tickets on it months ago and needed to collect them!)
  • N26 card
  • Boots Advantage card
  • Superdrug card
  • Nectar card
  • Network Railcard
  • South Western Railway smart-card
  • Photo driving licence
  • MyWaitrose card
  • Two full and one partial McDonald’s coffee cards
  • Oyster card
  • Brewdog E4P card
  • Old rail tickets

Try out Curve: https://www.curve.app/
It let’s you put all your cards into one. I use it for all my secondary/backup cards.

Hooray for library cards! Always makes me happy to see someone carrying theirs.

In my wallet I have:

  • Monzo card
  • Legacy bank card
  • Credit card
  • Driving licence
  • Railcard
  • Shell V-Power Club card

Sometimes I switch out the legacy bank card or the credit card for another credit card or my N26 card if I need to for a specific purpose that day.
I don’t carry my library card because I have my number memorised and, working for the library service, that’s enough for me.

I did look at various card wallet options, with a mind to getting something that can hold more cards, but none of the affordable options really grabbed me (and the two which did were too expensive for me).
