I just tried this in H&M and it didn’t work. The cashier looked smug

Monzo search reveals that I’ve only spend up to £19.99 in H&M  Sucks to hear that they might’ve blocked it though!

@Peter_G @anon29628803 Oh, it happens! Hotspots- libraries, trains, also once waiting for my friend to get cash out on the street. When I glared/ shot them a look they said something along the lines of “smile/ don’t be like that”.

Also concur we need fast/slow walking paths :weary:

PPI adverts and junk mail. Don’t try and tell me I’m owed £3650 when there’s no way you could possibly know if I am. And is anyone unaware of PPI? Even people under rocks know so give it a rest

People who post “such a bad day :weary:” or similar on Facebook. Then someone comments “what happened? X” and they go “‘message me hun x”

If you don’t want to tell us all, why put the initial post up?

Oh I’ve removed all those people! They don’t deserve my friendship :joy: :no_good_man:t2:

I’ve deleted my Facebook. Easier than getting rid of all these people one by one :rofl::rofl:

I don’t think the rule about walking on the left and standing on the right is a thing outside of London.

It’s definitely not a thing here in Birmingham - the escalators are always full of people standing on both sides. Often it’ll just be one person but standing right in the middle. It’s infuriating!

It’s not really a rule outside of London. We have a couple of escalators which say stand on right but it’s not common. The first rule I was told the first time I went to London was to always stand on the right :joy:

My mum used to say “You should never cross on the stairs!”

What’s that about…??

Gives bad luck like walking under a ladder if you beilive that stuff

And splitting the pole. If walking with a group of friends you have to walk around the same side of any posts in the street or it ends your friendship.

People who swarm people doing reductions in supermarkets. They can all be ground in gears.

It’s also not a ‘thing’ anywhere in London that isn’t the tube. Don’t let anyone bully you otherwise.

This unfortunately might have something to do with real wages being depressed for so long

Not having four weekly pay options / custom summary periods in Monzo :upside_down_face:

My biggest pet hate is when people are standing in a queue to pay, like in a supermarket, but then wait until the last minute to get their card/phone/wallet out to pay.

Particularly annoying when it’s cash, or when there are vouchers involved (especially when most aren’t valid or have expired).

Wish people would do this while their waiting in the queue with nothing better to do!

People who use their when they mean they’re :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
