What Car Do You Drive? šŸš™ šŸš—

I was under the impression that was just for the US market?

Certainly hope we get it here.

I’m surprised how many vehicles still need you to use USB for Android Auto/CarPlay… Especially with lot of them now putting wireless charging in.

Work in progress, I guess…

I think this is because so many manufacturers were resisting integration with them in first place and now they have to play catch up… integrations seems to take ages in the auto industry…

Nice! Highly recommend getting the Audi Dash cams fitted, they hardwire it into the cam and it doubles as a parking camera(s)* (front and rear, there’s about Ā£100 diff between the two…)

*Not for reversing… parking mode, in which they’ll switch on when they detect motion

I’ve got a pair of Blackvue camera’s fitted in my car (that’s partly what the Wi-Fi Network is for).

I’m surprised that more cars don’t have this fitted as standard/a factory option. A lot of cars now have at least a camera at the front for Auto Dipped Beam, Roadsign Detection, etc

For some people they are convenient but they a) cost too much and b) don’t have enough range for me. For most people they probably do but I have to drive frequently to sites that are often in the middle of nowhere with no infrastructure so I’d end up having to charge the car with a diesel generator haha

My first car was a green Polo 6N!

My brother probably had 3-4 of them too, all lowered. The best one was this open air one though..

It’s been a natural progression of VW’s for me haha. From a 6N Polo to a 9n3 Polo to a 2012 Beetle and now a Golf GTI! :grinning:

Really enjoying it, lots of gadgets (Blind spot monitor, pre crash warning, cruise control, speed limiter to name a few), got quite good space in the rear and boot as well. Had it since February this year. Getting 55mpg (compared to the Lexs RC200t, which was getting 24mpg).

In terms of the in car screen (Toyota Touch and Go2), it’s ok, and has all the normal SatNav, Audio, car stats etc, but yeah I agree some of the integration could be better with the Android/Apple systems.

**Disclaimer: I work for Toyota so have had an Aygo, Yaris, Auris, RAV4, GT86, Lexus CT200h, NX300h, RC200t, and borrowed RX450h, Hilux, Land Cruiser, Avensis over the years.

and I don’t drive because it was written off. No damage done to me thanks to the safety cell.

I think what we need here is someone buying a hot coral car

This would tempt me

A hot coral hot rod. Nice!

I passed the driving test when I was 18 and haven’t driven a car since. It’s the simplist credit card sized ID card otherwise I’d have probably given it up.

Growing up in Edinburgh and then having 4 years in London where public transport is excellent I really didn’t need a car to get around. I now live in Ipswich with one of the higher frequency services just outside my door. I’ve ended up cycling most of the time as it can be faster and it means I get some exercise.

The street is chocker full of cars so wouldn’t be able to I park it close and would use it anywhere near enough to be worthwhile spending huge amounts of money on to be sat clogging up the street and having to maintain.

Try to convince the council to install charging points in the lampposts. Some councils in the UK already are.

I don’t usually like to share my car. It’s MPG is embarrassingly low, but no one ever parks next to me at my nearest Tesco. Plus BMWs, Range Rovers & Audi drivers usually tend to leave me alone rather than ramming me up the ass.
