No, standard iOS behaviour for swiping on a table cell is to either present options or delete a row.
I think you should consider this bug a gift from monzo!
I have a bug where money transferred to pots isn’t showing up in the pots I have transferred too but the money is showing as having left my account.
The only thing I’m not a fan of in the new layout is the % of budget spent figure in the ‘left to spend’ widget.
Since I don’t know what % of the month has passed it prompts me to try to work that out every time I see it, to work out how on / off track I am. That kind of mental calculation is exactly what Monzo’s eliminated from my banking, whereas my old bank didn’t..
I thought I might get used to it but I’ve been using the new layout for over a week now & I haven’t yet.
Sorry if that’s been mentioned before, I’m a bit behind on this thread
I must be the odd one here as I really like the balance and simplicity of the saying you have xxx days to go.
You’ve not enabled budgeting yet so we’re talking about different things
Thanks Alex. Sorry I wasn’t trying to interrupt you. I was just giving my opinion on part of the new look app.
I wonder if they could use some sort of circle to visualise how much of the month is remaining?
[Tap the budget widget, and it will take you through to this futuristic visualisation.]
IOS
I scrolled down my list of transactions to check something and pressed home to try and get back to the top of the list. Not sure why I expected this to work, think maybe twitter does something similarly.
Ps I am aware that pressing the status bar scrolls to the top of a list on iOS but I don’t think many users are.
Yeah lots of iOS apps use this. I think it would make more sense to include that here - tap the home button again and it should jump to the top.
Yes you have the inbuilt functionality of tapping the status bar at the top to jump back to the top, but it’s very common, and useful, if clicking on of the main navigation buttons at the bottom also does this.
Swiping left or right (as mentioned by @hdwrng) would usually be used to delete something/bring up more actions against it.
I like it too I don’t have an overall budget set either.
Great to see how many days to payday though at a glance, like this being on the home screen. And whilst the left to spend figure is always a bit off, I know it’s a work in progress.
Okay so after reading here you can now swipe left or right on the transactions table view to scroll to the top of the page? This feels so unnatural in iOS as swipe left from a screen is usually reserved for moving back in a navigation controller and swipe right for options on a table view cell. I can see many users accidentally doing these gestures and cursing that they lost their place - it needs to go!
I definitely agree with people here that tapping the home tap again could scroll to the top and would be a fairly nice implementation however the status bar scroll to the top is the most popular and generally accepted implementation in all iOS apps.
I’m having an issue where the number of days left is showing as 6, however my budget should reset on the 1st of each month. So it is not reflecting the right date for some reason. Running Android Q Beta.
tapping -Home- on Android dose take you to top
Finally finished watching the April Open Office event in full. Now then… Schoolboy error at the end with active microphones still working. From 48:50 onward, after the filming had stopped, audio starts again which sounds like the ‘about to clean up & go home’ time.
And at 49:12, someone is apologising for an error and says “at least no-one saw the slide”.
WHAT WAS ON THE SLIDE?

Having been using this for about a week now I have to say I’m really not a fan of the pots being accessible from the too left button.
It’s one of the areas that I want to visit a lot and I keep on going to the menu on the bottom for it.
What makes it worse is that being right handed it’s difficult to reach when holding the phone with one hand.
It would make far more sense to swap the view all and help sections. How often do people click on the help link for it to justify a prominent position in the main nav bar?
The “View all” button is on the right in the iOS version of the app.
Loan and credit card have disappeared
I’ve got a on the It’s taking about savings and takes you to the option. However on the joint account it takes you to a regular pot only. This is part of the bug that doesn’t show updated pots on joint account.
I really hope you keep the summary feature in some way. I use it on a daily basis and love the fact that I don’t need yet another app.
Two things I would ask for: 1-the ability to add additional or change existing categories in the summary.
2- I’d like to be able to log cash spending in some way (if I withdraw money). I appreciate though that this might be too complex a function but my OCD, numbers obsessed brain would be very happy !
