We're working on a new look for the Monzo app

Home button lost its functionality for me as well doesn’t do anything now like it used to currently running TF 2.64.0 (561)

This seems to work fine for me on TF 2.64 (561) iOS.

This create button under the card seems like it should do something but it doesn’t

On Android it just pulls the drawer/tray/options up. :man_shrugging:

On the current nav it makes it obvious if you’re viewing your personal or joint account as -

  1. The profile image changes between a single profile image for personal and two images for joint accounts.
  2. Above the card the wording changes between personal and joint.

In the new nav the profile image doesn’t change when you switch between accounts.

Also the default view in the new nav just shows the cards account number and sort code at the top instead of telling you what account you’re looking at. It does change to the account type if you scroll the feed up though.

To me it would sense (and be more secure) if the account details were placed within settings and the account type was always on display. This along with reverting back to the two state profile image would make it as clear as the current nav as what account you’re currently viewing.

I just had a look and the app tells you which account you’re seeing when the transaction list isn’t at the lowest position

Is joint account also not on the card image when fully retracted anyway?

That’s what i was trying to describe below.

I don’t often have to scroll my past transactions so I don’t see the personal/joint text and just get the account number/sort code.

I think it should consistently tell you what account you’re in and not just in certain situations.

No it doesn’t tell you on the card either.

It is on my card

It’s not on the card image in the app. Both personal and joint cards use the same image so you can’t tell the difference unless you’re familiar with the expiry dates and card numbers.

This is what I see on my joint card:

(edit) on Android

Ah that must the difference then. I’m on iOS and don’t see that on the card.

I think if they added that back in on the card image and changed the profile picture to change with account that would sort it out.

That’s weird. I’m on iOS and it says joint account on my card. Not sure why yours is different.

Just checked again and it definitely doesn’t say it on mine. I’m running the App store version, are you on test flight?

One annoyance, that may be listed in the 4000 plus posts above is that I solely use Monzo for joint account, so it’s annoying that it regularly resets to my current account card. So I then have to swipe over to get back to my ‘default’ view/card.

I think the card image is supposed to reflect your actual card. So you have “joint account” printed on your physical card?

Ah yeah I am. That means it’s coming in the next update then

For me the default view also displays the account name. The only time it’s not visible is when card controls are out

Yes! The freeze animation should stay

@jaisullivan I’ve also been having lag on the freeze button on iOS. (iOS 13 on iPhone SE)
