We're reviewing your Identity

For some reason tonight my Monzo app has asked me to verify my identity. It has never done this before. I did swap phones yesterday but I have been using my account today fine then all of a sudden when I tried to transfer money to a credit card it blocked the transaction and said that I need to verify my identity. I have recorded the video and said the numbers as the video asks. But it’s now stuck on the “We’re reviewing your Identity” prompt and has essentially locked me out of my account. This is my main account and pretty much all my money is in there.

Has anyone else had this happen to them and if so how did they get it fixed? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but that hasn’t worked.

All you can do is wait for them to review. I’m sure they a have reason to verify your ID.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the app won’t help, if anything it will just look suspicious and possibly delay things even further.
