One request for me would be to make this the required flow for all money transfers internal or external to the account.
That way we get the same familiar screen and features regardless of whether I’m paying someone else, or putting money into another account or pot that I own.
Then make it mandatory for new features being built like new pot types/investments/pensions/whatever to use this same flow. Any time I’m moving money, I should be allowed to schedule and repeat it.
I feel like we’ve seen too many features being built and released as MVPs that then lack the basic functionality that should be uniform across the app.
e.g. I can set regular payments into my investments to come from a Pot, but I still can’t do that for regular payments into my Instant Access Saving Pot.
And although I can set up regular deposits to the IASP from the main account, I can’t do the same for withdrawals…
In short, I like what’s being built and want to see it everywhere.
I don’t like how our joint account has just my partners image . It’s the same image as his current account so this is mega confusing as to where I’m sending money and Monzo don’t show account numbers due to being a Monzo account.
Will this be fixed? Would be nice to edit our own images on each account
I complained about something similar last week. Some nice Monzo guy contacted me through the forum after customer support completely ignored me, but sadly I’ve not heard anything since.
Just used the new payment flow and overall I think it’s an improvement (more clear, nicer layout)
I have one bit of feedback:
When on the completed payment screen, after you’ve successfully sent a transfer, the current category of the transaction is shown along with “More categories” below it.
I wanted to change the category of the transfer, so my first thought was to tap the current category to bring up the category options in the same way that you change the category of a card transaction.
However, that didn’t work and it turns out I had to select “More categories” to change the category.
It would be good to be able to change the category of the transfer by selecting the current category.
Personally, I think the “More categories” button is redundant and should be removed, but if the “More categories” button is kept, then perhaps changing the text to “Change category” would make it’s function more clear.
P.S. Sorry for the lack of screenshots - I currently don’t need to send another Monzo-to-Monzo payment.

I realised that it’s just Monzo to Monzo payments that don’t turn to standing orders when you schedule and don’t allow payment from pots… I’m hoping that’s something that could be added.

I’ve noticed though that NS&I payments have the bank logo of NSB bank which is incorrect.
I’ve also noticed that when you go into make a payment and use the new search or see all, you can’t differentiate properly between different accounts under the same name. I’ve got two accounts with Virgin added, now I can’t easily tell which is my ISA and which is my account. When I go to the old see payees section, I’d added the accounts under my name but given them more meaningful account names… It would be useful for that info to show in the new screens. Or maybe a selector so you can specify what an account is to display in the list and make the selection easier
@giorgio I dont know if this is the right thread and I don’t know if its just me with this issue. I have removed the pots option from my home screen as I dont need it but every now and then it makes an appearance back to my home screen without me doing anything. Its happened a few times now - just a bit of a pain that I need to continually remove what I have already removed.
On a side note, I am unable to delete payees from my Monzo that are contacts in my phone. Any way round this without deleting my phone contact?
Just went to send a scheduled payment to known payee and it’s just not an option any more. Scheduled payments seem to need me to input bank details in full to setup
This seems like a big backwards step. Am I missing something?
