I’m super excited to announce that we’ve started rolling out our brand new, delightful experience for sending money!
The new experience focuses on improving the sense of trust and safety, while making it fast and easy to do so. We’re achieving this by:
Introducing a brand new Confirmation of Payee experience, giving you more reassurance that you’re paying the right account
Adding an ability to review payment details before sending the payment
Making it possible to see, and change, the source of a payment - a big one for all you Joint Account customers
Providing a confirmation that the payment has been sent and making it easier to categorise your payment
And many, many more improvements throughout the experience…
We started this journey towards the end of 2023, and I want to say thank you for all of your help testing it and the feedback you’ve given us. We’ve made many improvements and we’re excited to be rolling this out to Monzo users everywhere.
This is very slick. Looking forward to trying it out. Really hoping for a complete rebuild of the Payments tab generally as it’s a bit of a mess and hasn’t changed much in years.
Just used the new flow and it worked great! The paste from clipboard feature is No more jumping back and forth between apps to get details, just copied sort code and account number at once and it parses it out automatically.
Really loving this flow. Have been seeing it for the last few weeks and it is so much smoother and clearer. Great work!
@giorgio I was wondering if this flow is triggered when tapping on a bill split notification? My partner has had it a few times when she has received a bill split from a friend, tapped it to pay in Monzo, only to find out she has paid it from the joint account (rather than personal account). This flow would be super helpful in preventing that!
