Vodafone does not accept Monzo Card

WiFi Calling?

If OpenSignal shows O2 is good for your building try Giffgaff as supplier since they use O2 network & have good pricing. You choose the amount/no.Gigs data etc you want to spend monthly. Is an online supplier with a community like here.

I had it take two years to get ÂŁ40 back that they owed me (due to that billing issue error and issues with a payg SIM card), no doubt if it was the other way the debt collectors would have been around!

If he doesn’t care too much about pricing, going to the big four instead an MVNO is probably better as he would be able to use features such as VoLte (voice calls on 4g), WifiCalling (voice call using wifi), Personal Hotspot, Visual Voicemail (if you use an iPhone), AML(it is used by emergency services to track you and send ambulance)

Visual Voicemail on an iPhone :iphone: isn’t available for all carriers as I found out after changing.

EE seems to be better , Hopefully not as stingy as Vodafone ? 20 quids for 20 seems to be great if works.

Thanks

Vodafone’s network is great now. However to sign up you’ll need to use a card from a bigger bank and it’ll be fine. DD’s are not an issue it’s just the ID-vet that won’t accept Monzo.

I can really recommend EE. I’ve been through them all and they generally all stink. But EE stinks a bit less than the rest in my opinion.

Totally disagree. They’re too big and they don’t do loyalty deals really (compared to other networks) and they don’t support basic calling features such as call conferencing or correct cal waiting. Especially on WiFi calling.

Thanks I am kind of leaning towards Vodafone ( I was with vodafone back in Oz too ) considering they are offering me better deal, Its just unfortunate that i can’t buy them online via Monzo. Was wondering if going to physical store might make any difference ?

I echo the sentiment of avoiding Vodafone. They are liars and cheats. Literally lied to my wife over the phone then twice refused to cancel a SIM she didn’t order, and charged her for it as well. Would never use them.

Ok may be i take it back  . Its just weird that only certain providers have availability in the city within buildings

They may be, but where I live they are the only provider without dead spots. If you’ve been with them 10+ years you can usually play the loyalty card and get a good discount.

I recently swapped one of my sims to Voxi, switch was flawless and easy, took less than 10 minutes. I was surprised to learn the Voxi staff work In the same place as the regular Vodafone staff.

Physics! London has a lot of big old buildings with thick walls, and new buildings going up all the time too with lots of metal getting in the way of towers. Best thing to do is find one that does work where you live and work.
When my old job moved into a new office, we had zero mobile signal on any network in our new building right in the heart of Kings Cross. Fortunately o2 installed a mast nearby so we got great signal with them, but they also offer Wifi Calling (I think all the networks might by now?) so anyone on o2 got good phone signal on the wifi too.

I had the same with Vodafone last year, I had to call them and it went through fine on the phone.

Well i spoke to couple of them none of them however said i could do so via Monzo card ? I guess things changed from last year ? Thanks may be i should try again

Just get a Starling account quick as they give you the card number immediately in the app and it’ll work fine

Interesting thanks a lot for the tip

Really?

My monthly bills definitely have a line item labelled loyalty discount on it.

And I don’t think three way calling is a deal breaker for 99% of people looking for a mobile contract.

At least they provide a decent data service. Unlike O2 or 3 that are just horribly slow, if you can get any coverage at all.

Vodafone isn’t exactly a small business either. Globally they may in fact be bigger.
