Using Monzo card abroad

I’m going to Perth in November.
Do I have to notify Monzo so I can use my card ?

Shouldn’t be any need to notify Monzo beforehand! Just don’t forget to take your card with you, and have a great time in Perth ️

It’s also worth keeping in mind that it’ll work out cheaper for you to pay for things with your card using the point of sale terminals in shops/restaurants/hotels etc, rather than withdrawing cash

I’m just about to travel to Melbourne so it would be great to get some tips on: Card acceptance (specifically MasterCard acceptance) ATM’s - which ATM’s charge the lowest fees for withdrawals? Using cash - will I need cash for a taxi from the airport or can I wait until I get to my hotel to withdraw some from an ATM? Public transport - are cards accepted? I’ll update this post to share how I got on when I get back. Looking forward to trying out the new travel reports!
