Traveling in Australia, Dubai and Berlin

Just spent three weeks in Oz and using Monzo was brilliant and so easy, as was Dubai.
Came back via Berlin and only used the card my other cards left secure in my wallet. Super and practical card for trips away.

I’m just about to travel to Melbourne so it would be great to get some tips on: Card acceptance (specifically MasterCard acceptance) ATM’s - which ATM’s charge the lowest fees for withdrawals? Using cash - will I need cash for a taxi from the airport or can I wait until I get to my hotel to withdraw some from an ATM? Public transport - are cards accepted? I’ll update this post to share how I got on when I get back. Looking forward to trying out the new travel reports!

Monzo in the UAE

I’m planning to go to Dubai, taking small amount of cash but relying on Mondo for bigger purchases where paying with cards available. Given Mondo works off the MasterCard rails I’m sure it’ll be fine, but wondered if anyone’s had any experience? For example can I do ATM withdrawals okay? Thanks

Hi all, going to Germany in a week for Oktoberfest. Wondered if anyone has had any issues. For such a big country I haven’t seen a thread dedicated to Germany yet.
