Is it true for the first transaction since getting the card has to be chip and pin ? Then from after that its ready for contactless ?
I don’t remember having to use Chip and PIN before contactless. Why not go and try it?

It is my understanding that Monzo don’t require a chip + pin transaction first.
(As a matter of fact most cards no longer strictly require it, even if the card providers often still advise doing it. But that’s a different story)
